《2025 월간 영귀미》는 강원 홍천군 영귀미면 속초1리를 무대로, 5월부터 10월까지 매달 서로 다른 작가가 참여해 장소를 탐색하고 전시의 방식과 형식을 실험한 릴레이 전시다.
전시의 배경이 되는 공간은 지역 주민들의 삶이 실제로 오랜 시간 이어져온 장소들이다. 빨래터, 문방구, 버스정류장, 청소년공간, 창고, 마을회관 같은 평범하고 소박한 공간들이 이 프로젝트를 통해 새로운 해석과 의미를 얻는다. 작업의 출발점은 언제나 ‘장소’와 ‘사람’이다.
여섯 개의 전시와 여덟 개의 연계 프로그램이 이어졌고, 매달 한 권씩 여섯 권의 도록으로 기록되었다.
‘2025 Monthly Yeonggwimi’ was a relay exhibition in Sokcho 1-ri, Yeonggwimi-myeon, Hongcheon: each month from May to October, different artists explored the place and experimented with the form of the exhibition itself.
The venues are places where local life has genuinely continued over a long time — a laundry site, a stationery shop, a bus stop, a youth space, a storehouse, a village hall. Ordinary, modest spaces that acquire new readings through the project. The point of departure is always ‘place’ and ‘people.’
Six exhibitions and eight related programmes unfolded, recorded in six catalogues — one for each month.
